We took what must have been the longest possible route there as we ended up heading straight for the Atlantic coast and following the coastline al
We made it down south and could see the Rock from a distance. It is as if Gibraltar knows that it is under British control because the sunny

My absolute favorite part was entering Gibraltar. Seen as we drove we took the advice of the guide book and parked on the Spanish side in the town of La Linea. Walking across you actually cross the runway. There are two strips marked off about 4 feet wide for pedestrians to cross. The vehicles drive in between and there are cross bar gates on either side. When we we going back to the car, a bell starting dinging and the cross bars came down. A man in a yellow vest came and shut the gate to pedestrians and we were told to wait for the small aircraft that was approaching. A few minutes later, a small plane touched down, and while it was still taxi-ing the gates were opened, bars lifted and the pedestrians and traffic took off.
For the whole trip, and all photos from other trips I have put them on http://picasaweb.google.com/jacquelineenyart
We love and miss everyone!

I have been there twice (once for about 4 days) and have only seen the rock without that cloud on it for a day.
I tried to ride around it like I did in '96, but there was a major rock fall in the tunnel on the back side about 7 years ago, so you can't go around anymore.
Did you get your GIB stamp?
Oh yeah, I hope you don't mind, but I put a link to your blog on mine:-) Figured that there would be some folks out there that might want to see what you are up to...
That's so funny about the crosswalk. Keep having fun, and spend your birthday doing something super-fun!
